Yehaw! Star Wars!

I am very pleased that I can finally show this piece :)

Another NDA finally crumbles! Today my first book work was released in the Star Wars Roleplaying Game book "Scum and Villainy". Any gameplayers out there can pick it up via the usual book retail channels, next month will see the release of more of my work in the 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons book "Demon Queen's Enclave", also from Wizards of the Coast, and in January "Scion: Ragnarok" will be released by White Wolf Publishing.

Again I would like to thank Ryan Sansaver who gave me this assignment as a last minute trial by fire. I'm thrilled that I got to do it!

Tired!

A human forces soldier, getting the right amount of individuality was the main challenge.

A Chimera Soldier, they strike me as having a somewhat ordered and clean approach to their design, industrial, but not in a cobbled-together or heavily asymmetrical way.

A basic environmental object, wreckage of what may have been a Chimera drop-pod that was modified.

A environment design of a gaunlet like area. The main idea is the cool temparature of the environment and Chimera architecture being put against the warm architecture of the ruins of the human buildings and the Chimera machines occupying them.

A really busy week! On top of the day job this week I had to complete a concept art test for Insomniac Games (hope that they like them!) It was a crazy push to get as done as possible, but was also very very fun. I think I will continue working on these for the ol' portfolio, are there certain ones that you guys think are good candidates for that?

Been a spell.

This dude is still incomplete, so just don't stare too hard, he's shy ;)

Also tooling around with this one, seeing if I can make something interesting out of it.

Haven't posted in some serious ages! I Should be kicking back into the habit now. Just finshed up relocating to Providence and a couple of sweet jobs. While much of what I have been doing is under NDA, I will be finding and making some new junk to post up in this piece.

Cheers!

NYCC

"Lé Box Head" d00dles with mah Sheri V.

Got home from New York ComicCon a few days ago, it was a total blast. I have to thank everyone for making it a super satisfying and awesome experience. The people really are what made it, so here are some shout-outs to Rob Rey, Ripper, the sculptors from NECA, Arkady Roytman, Dan Dos Santos, Zelda Devon and Kurt Huggins of Teetering Bulb, Christopher Moeller, Erik Jones, and a big thanks to Ryan Sansaver.

Thank you as always to Sheri for being my faithful partner in crime and to her excellent parents for housing me once again.

Also, Guillermo del Toro is without a doubt the man.

Also, I have a few sketches and doodles here and will be starting a super exciting new project!

Ok, that's all.

Hm.

Experimenting with an old piece again.

A test to see how paintin' up one of my sculpts might turn out. Maybe a little early tell how it is going but I was encouraged to give it a shot and will keep testing it out.

Fin times dos

Finished up that red-faced sucka and the seaside undead
recently. They are now taking up residence on my portfolio site.

Been working some new sketches and it's time to move on to some new projects, they should start appearing shortly. Y'all must be giddy with anticipation.

Cute.

Curtsy

Moving forward with this one, I can't seem to shake the feeling that I am being derivative with this piece. I will really have to move into gear and push it during my next session.

Decided to go ahead and give this guy a chance to be all he can be. Lots left to go, but I believe this is an adequate start.

Mr. Quickpaint #2 for today.

Warming up for today, not sure where this is going, It's just a thoughtless doodle so far.

So far for today I've worked on the undead loving sketch above and finally finished up the little elf girl I will now refer to as Fuzz, she's over in the illustration section of my main site, woot! Much thanks to Gorrem for hooking me up with some new music today to save my groove.

Progresses

Started roughing the bg in, then went to my trusted confidant Beanut for some advice on my perspective and structure (top right). She totally got me thinking in the right way and I shortly realized that my horizon had to move up quite a bit! Kudos to her for all the help!

Bringing the rest of the piece slowly and steadily, lets go environment!

Skeeetches

Old fellows win, they just do.

Some skeevy robots, I'm really starting to enjoy drawing these little guys, its a fun exercise in abstract drawing. Hope some of ya out there enjoy em too.

Yeah, Mifune is pretty sweet.

Sketch for the previously posted thank you card dragon.

Some nubtacular sketches to the presses!

Special Thanks

He makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and scaly.

This guy sprang into to being for a thank you card for a person near and dear to me. She needed to thank a few people who have been helping her deal with a really tough time. I feel very happy that I got to make him for her.

She is the best example I can imagine of somebody facing the hardest of situations with the utmost toughness and positive energy, she's a great inspiration.

Noobsauce

My hope is that it will reek of enlightenment and wisdom while having a
heavy presence, relating to the burden of knowledge and commitment to learning.

This is my current little d00dle. I needs to draw me some environments like whoah.

#2

Well this guy may or may not make it to completion and
be posted there, but hey, at least these sketches can
be thrown on here :)

So the creature of the week (COW!) over at ConceptArt.org is a "Glacial Terror", I actually took some time to mess with an idea for it. For some reason I am always hesitant to post over there, dunno why, they have some great contributers and several of my friends lurk around it too.

Spew!
